About the Studio

Smillie Studio is an in home art studio opened in January 2016 by artist and art teacher, Tatum Smillie. Located on Henry St. in Norton Shores, Smillie Studio offers a range of activities including, adult pottery classes, pottery parties, workshops, and special events. The studio caters to artists of all ages and ability levels however, due to it's basement location, is not handicapped accessible. Offsite services are offered with additional travel fee. 

About the Artist

Tatum Smillie is an artist and art teacher who's passion for ceramic art and pottery inspired her to open Smillie Studio in 2015. Tatum earned a BA in Art Education from Western Michigan University in 2005. She is a MI certified art teacher with over 10 years classroom teaching experience. Tatum currently teaches part-time at the White Lake Area Community Education  homeschool enrichment program, as well as operating Smillie Studio.
